Mid-Session Cattle Market Report

February cattle traded moderately higher on the session into the mid-day led by a more positive tilt to the US and global economies and from concerns for a winter storm into the weekend. Talk of up to 8 inches of snow into parts of the feedlot region was seen as a factor which might stress cattle this early in the season. Cash cattle offers emerged at $125.00-$127.00 this week with bids at $121.00-$123.00. Boxed-beef cut-out values at mid-session came in at $194.96 which was up $.01 from yesterday and down from $196.21 last week at this time.
