Meat Loaf is in stable condition after collapsing during a concert on Thursday.

Meat Loaf was performing at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Canada when he collapsed near the end of the performance. His publicist said that this was caused by the singer suffering from " severe dehydration ."

Meat Loaf thanked his fans for the well wishes and is on the way to a speedy recovery. The artist was performing I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) as the encore for the concert when he collapsed, reports USA Today .

Meat Loaf still has seven more concerts for his tour through Canada. No cancellations or delays have been announced yet, but they may be over the next few days. The tour will end on July 2.
