The burger chain is offering an 18-karat chicken nugget made of solid gold that will be found inside one lucky customer's order of chicken nuggets.
The collector's item is a piece of gold that is worth approximately $1,500. The move comes at a time when McDonald's Japan is really struggling.
Last year, the chain did poorly in the Asian nation, posting a loss of about $210 million.
MCD stock is up 0.5% Monday.
