Mawson Resources Limited (MAW.TO) is well off its best levels of the session but is hanging on to a 2-cent advance at $1.62 a share after saying it discovered high-grade uranium at its Riutti project in southeastern Finland.
According to the company, the best result from the 10-hole drill program was a hole intersecting 11.3 metres at 0.68% uranium oxide (U3O8) including 3.7 metres at 1.53% U3O8. True thickness of the mineralized interval is estimated to be about 8.6 metres.
Mawson shares earlier touched $1.74 each for a 8.8% gain before easing into its current range between $1.62 to $1.64 a share. Volume is light at just under 15,000 shares.
