Mawson Resources Shares Down 17% at Midday, Appoints New Director

Mawson Resources Limited (MAW.TO) announced today that Colin Maclean has been appointed as a director of Mawson effective February 13, 2012.

Maclean holds a B.A (First Class Honours Geology) and is the Deputy Chairman and a founding partner of The Sentient Group's Resources Funds, where he has been for the past 10 years. Prior to joining Sentient, he spent 14 years in funds management at the Private Capital division of the AMP Society, then Australia's foremost investing institution. He spent 15 years as an exploration geologist, mainly with the Exxon Minerals group, exploring for uranium and other ore deposit types in Australia, South Africa, the USA and Europe. His most senior role was Exploration Manager for Exxon Minerals Germany. Along with his appointment to the Mawson Board, Maclean has also been appointed to the Audit Committee.
