Main Street Capital Backs Management Buyout of UK-based Euromoney Institutional Investor's Energy Business

Main Street Capital ( MAIN ) shares traded unchanged as the company financed a management buyout in which the Gulf Publishing Company and Houston investor Russell Denson joined hands to purchase the energy information business of London-based Euromoney Institutional Investor.

The new independent company will retain the name Gulf Publishing Company and will continue to publish its three energy magazines including World Oil, Hydrocarbon Processing, and Gas Processing, and will add the London-based oil and gas business and strategy journal Petroleum Economist.

Gulf Publishing Company also produces events and data intelligence for the energy industry, according to a company statement early Monday.

Main Street shares trade near the 52-week price range of $24.21 - $33.15.
