Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Mechel (MTL): An investor sold 7,000 October 2 calls for $0.20 and $0.25, betting against upside in the Russian steelmaker. MTL fell 1.55 percent to $1.91.
Assured Guaranty (AGO): An investor sold 2,000 July 24 calls for $1.50 and bought 6,000 July 26s for $0.53. It appears that the activity resulted from a long position being rolled to the higher strike and tripled in size. AGO rose 0.36 percent to $25.17. (See related story )
Rowan Cos. (RDC): Some 2,000 June 30 calls were bough, mostly for $1.25 to $1.45, as investors look for upside in the ocean-drilling company. RDC rose 2.19 percent to $31.67.
