Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Alcatel-Lucent (ALU): Some 12,000 January 3.83 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.85, as investors look for the shares to push higher over the course of 2014. ALU rose 1.23 percent to $4.11.
Dex Media (DXM): An investor bought 3,992 May 10 calls against open interest of $1.10 and sold an equal number of June 10 calls for $1.50. It appears that an existing in-the-money short-call position was rolled forward in time. DXM declined 5.70 percent to $10.43.
Analy Capital Management (NLY): Some 2,000 July 12 calls were bought for $0.11 to $0.13, but volume was below open interest at the strike. NLY rose 0.26 percent to $11.55.
