Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold (FCX): Some 4,500 May 33 calls were purchased for $3.40 as an investor positioned for upside in the share price. FCX fell 1.64 percent to $34.78.
Baidu (BIDU): A block of 5,000 January 125 calls was purchased for $0.05. While bullish, volume was below open interest, so it may have resulted from an existing position being closed. BIDU fell 1.47 percent to $100.78.
MetLife (MET): More than 12,000 March 30 puts were bought for $0.24 to $0.30 as investors brace for downside in the share price. MET rose 1.10 percent to $36.19.
Bank of America (BAC): Almost 7,800 February 12 calls were purchased for $0.40 to $0.51 but volume was far below open interest at the strike. BAC fell 1.16 percent to $11.95.
