Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Pfizer (PFE): A block of 5,000 September 23 calls was purchased for $0.53 as investors look for upside in the stock. PFE rose 0.26 percent to $21.35.

PowerShares DB U.S. Dollar Index Bullish Fund (UUP): More than 8,000 March 22 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.26 and $0.27, as investors looked for upside in the greenback. UUP rose 0.45 percent to $22.13.

Bunge (BG): Call volume surged in the agricultural processor as investors looked to capture its quarterly dividend. The activity has no directional bias. BG rose 1.28 percent to $64.77.

U.S. Natural Gas Fund (UNG): Some 35,000 January 4 puts were sold for $0.44 as investors looked for the fund to hold its ground. UNG rose 3.92 percent to $5.38

First Solar (FSLR): The March 39 puts were bought for $4.15 and the March 32 puts were sold for $1.27 as traders positioned for downside in the name. More than 11,000 contracts traded at each strike. FSLR fell 8.58 percent to $38.14.
