Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

JP Morgan (JPM): Investors bought about 7,000 February 34 calls for $1.42 and separately sold 10,000 February 27 puts for $0.71, looking for the stock to push higher or hold its ground. JPM rose 2.14 percent to $32.44. (See related story )

Freeport-McMoRan (FCX): About 14,000 January 32.75 puts were bought for $0.81 as investors position for downside in the copper miner. FCX rose 1.52 percent to $37.43.

Barrick Gold (ABX): Investors bought he January 45 calls for $2.30 and the April 47 calls for $3.30, looking for the stock to push higher. ABX rose 2.35 percent to $45.23.
