Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Hecla Mining (HL): More than 50,000 January 6 calls were bought for $0.49 to $0.72 as investors look for upside. HL rose 4.52 percent to $6.25.
Bank of America (BAC): More than 27,000 December 6 calls were bought, mostly for $0.17, as investors look for higher share prices. BAC rose 1.04 percent to $5.85.
Eli Lilly (LLY): More than 8,000 January 30 puts were bought for $0.09 and $0.10, but volume was below open interest. LLY rose 3.56 percent to $38.74.
Commercial Metals (CMC): An investor bought more than 5,000 contracts each in the January 12 puts and the January 14 calls, looking for the stock to make a sudden move higher or lower. CMC rose 0.57 percent to $14.17.
