Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
SPDR Barclays Capital High Yield Bond Fund (JNK): Investors purchased about 3,000 December 38 calls for $0.20, looking for upside. JNK rose 1.32 percent to $37.76.
Bank of America (BAC): A block of 20,000 January 2013 4 puts were bough and an equal number of August 5 puts were sold for $1.04. Volume, however, was below open interest in both, which suggests that an existing bearish position was closed. BAC rose 5.13 percent to $5.32.
Sprint Nextel (S): More than 29,000 weekly 29 puts, which expire Friday, were bought for $0.05 to $0.07, as investors position for downside in the near term. S rose 2 percent to $2.55.
