Jefferies Gets Negative on the Retail Sector (TGT, COST, KSS, HD)

Analysts at Jefferies & Co. on Wednesday made a big negative call on the bulk of the retail sector.

The firm said it cut its ratings from "Buy" to "Hold" on the following stocks:

  • Target Corporation ( TGT )
  • Costco Corporation ( COST )
  • Kohl's Corporation ( KSS )
  • The Home Depot, Inc. ( HD )

The firm also cut its rating on a number of other retailers as well, citing a worsening macroeconomic environment.

Shares of Costco ( COST ) have a 1.29% dividend yield, based on last night's closing stock price of $74.66.
