How did you get started with photography?
I have been shooting photos every day since I first started shooting in a high school photo class.
Why is Instagram your medium of choice?
It wasn’t always Instagram, I have been shooting the same style of photography for 30 years. What I love about Instagram is that it gave me an audience for my work. I love daily input and comments from people that are into what I’m doing.
What are you most excited about for the future?
I get excited about the opportunities social media has brought to me to shoot and create my photography.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Really from music, I love to wander the city listening to music searching for photos. It really is like a hunt to me, finding really cool light and waiting for little moments to happen.
At Nasdaq, we’re working to Rewrite Tomorrow by relentlessly reimagining the markets of today. In what ways are you rewriting the tomorrow of photography?
I have a simple rule, and that is to make each image I create to be slightly better than the last. I’m on a constant journey to make better images.
Do you have a favorite place to photograph in New York?
I love Grand Central Station late at night. I love the small little moments that happen in the darkness of the city.
