Japan spokesman says its not true that govt is considering helicopter money

Japan chief cabinet secretary Suga with the comment, hitting the news wires

More:

  • Says the BOJ is considering what monetary policy steps are desirable

ADDED:

Suga's denial of the government considering "helicopter money" follows a report earlier today in the Sankei newspaper that Etsuro Honda (an economic adviser to PM Abe) said to Abe that new is a good time for the policy (money given directly to the private sector to stimulate the economy).

Personally I think it would be good to give this a try, maybe for a tourist (like me) who the government could fly to Japan and then give money to for his holiday. I'm willing to give that a go.
