Jacobs Engineering Group Inc.JEC recently secured two deals from the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC ('SRNS') and the NASA Ames Research Center, keeping its contract winning streak alive. However, investors were not impressed as shares remained almost flat at $40.75 at the end of yesterday's trading session.
Per the sub-contract secured from the SRNS, Jacobs would provide telecommunications maintenance and operational services to the Savannah River Site (SRS), a United States Department of Energy ('DOE') facility located in South Carolina.
Under the Aerospace Testing and Facilities Operations and Maintenance (ATOM-4) deal, Jacobs offer Information Technology ('IT') system administration, aerospace testing, maintenance and operational services, among others, at the NASA Ames Research Center, California. The contract, worth approximately $250 million, includes a base tenure of two years and three single-year options.
Through the SRNS deal Jacobs would reinforce its long-term corporate association with the DOE while highlighting its expertise in offering secure and advanced telecommunication service.
The Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) company has been collaborating with NASA for more than half a century. Jacobs believes that the ATOM-4 contract will lend further support to the facility's aerothermal and aerodynamic test capabilities, which are crucial for current as well as next-generation aerospace programs.
