Is Legacy Housing Corporation's (NASDAQ:LEGH) Recent Stock Performance Influenced By Its Fundamentals In Any Way?

To start with, Legacy Housing's ROE looks acceptable. Be that as it may, the company's ROE is still quite lower than the industry average of 22%. That being the case, the significant five-year 22% net income growth reported by Legacy Housing comes as a pleasant surprise. We reckon that there could be other factors at play here. Such as - high earnings retention or an efficient management in place. Bear in mind, the company does have a respectable ROE. It is just that the industry ROE is higher. So this also does lend some color to the high earnings growth seen by the company.

We then compared Legacy Housing's net income growth with the industry and found that the company's growth figure is lower than the average industry growth rate of 27% in the same period, which is a bit concerning.

Specifically, we like that the company is reinvesting a huge chunk of its profits at a respectable rate of return. This of course has caused the company to see a good amount of growth in its earnings.
