Identity theft reports jumped by a third (33 percent) in five years, according to a report from the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Most of that growth comes from the misuse or attempted misuse of an existing credit card account. The good news, however, is that the overall number of reports dipped slightly from 2009 to 2010.
