Infographic: Alaska, N. Carolina are top states for credit card debt

When it comes to credit card debt, no state can touch Alaska. According to a report from TransUnion, the state's average credit card debt per borrower in the second quarter of 2011 was $6,926. That's nearly $1,500 more than the state in second place, North Carolina. However, Alaska also has the lowest credit card delinquency rate in the nation -- something you wouldn't expect from a state with such high debt.

Which state had the lowest credit card debt per borrower? Iowa, at $3,731.
