Hyperion Exploration Falls 5% on Acquisition of Garrington Light Oil Focused Asset

Hyperion Exploration Corp. (HYX.V) went down by 5% to $1.39, touching day low, after announcing that it has successfully completed the previously announced acquisition of certain assets located in the Garrington region of west central Alberta from a public oil and gas company for total consideration of $22 million with an effective date of January 1, 2011.

The Assets are comprised of 4 net sections of land, which are operated with approximately 90% working interest, are currently producing 125 bbl/day (net) of light oil, 70 bbl/day (net) of natural gas liquids and 930 mcf/day (net) of natural gas (350 boe/day net).
