Husky Energy Floating Oil Platform Shutdown by Power Failure

Husky Energy (HSE.TO) is starting to climb off its session lows after the oil and gas company's SeaRose floating production storage and offloading vessel off the coast of Newfoundland was hit with a power failure last night, requiring a switchover to emergency power before electricity was restored.

All wells were automatically shut-in as designed, according to the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board, which reported the incident on its website today. There were no injuries and an investigation is underway to determine a cause, the regulatory panel said.
