Jauchius, who will assume the roles toward the end of October, will be responsible for leading marketing plans for the Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty and Firefly brands. Under the purview of these responsibilities, Jauchius will oversee consumer experience, loyalty program, customer service, social media, eCommerce and additional revenue generation initiatives globally.
Earlier, Jauchius, who flaunts a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, served Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company as EVP and CMO.
During his tenure there, he supervised significant marketing plans like brand marketing; digital marketing; research & analytics; advertising; public relations; social media; communications and customer service enhancement programs. Also, he undertook rebranding strategies in addition to introducing the company's cause-related marketing efforts, and solidifying its partnership marketing initiatives.
Prior to this, Jauchius served McKinsey & Company as an associate principal, dealing with client marketing organizations across several business sectors. Further, Jauchius developed cross-functional capabilities in business growth strategies, sales and marketing, operational expense curtailments and overall company improvement.
Jauchius, who possesses 20 years of solid experience in such senior roles in the marketing field, is likely to prove an asset for Hertz. His profound knowledge and able leadership skills will help the company implement its growth strategies, enhance brand value and strive toward occupying a leading market position.
Apart from this, Hertz, which shares space with Avis Budget Group Inc. CAR , United Rentals Inc. URI and Rent-A-Center Inc. RCII , also announced Henry R. Keizer's appointment to its board of directors, at its annual shareholder meet. Prior to joining Hertz, Keizer was employed with KPMG as deputy chairman and chief operating officer.
