Barron's has conducted a series of interviews to find out what kinds of issues are worrying advisors for 2018. Taxes are big headache, as advisors say this could be the biggest shakeup since 1986, and there is still a lot of doubt about how things will develop. Some are worried about interest rates and how quickly the Fed might tighten. Another advisor is worried that clients are getting too comfortable with how much risk there is in the market and showing complacency. Some advisors are also worried about the Trump probe, fearing what the market fallout might be if the investigation leads to some sort of legal action or impeachment of Trump.

FINSUM : Of all the risks cited, we think client complacency is one of the most troublesome. All the others are beyond the control of any one person, but every person has control over their own decision-making.
