Revenues: Henry Schein posted revenues of $2.463 billion, which missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues of $2.540 billion.
Key Stats : Revenues derived from Henry Schein's Dental segment dropped 3.6% year over year to $1.250 billion, while Animal Health segment recorded sales of $684.3 million, up 4.6% compared with the prior-year quarter. Revenues from Medical segment increased 11.6% year over year to $443.5 million, while sales from Technology and Value-added services segment climbed 5.4% to $85.7 million.
Major Factors : Henry Schein's excellent sales growth in the Medical segment represented the company's continued progress with large group practices and integrated delivery networks, as well as a full quarter of agency sales post it's strategic agreement with Cardinal Health. Management expects to substantially complete the strategic integration with Cardinal Health during the second quarter of 2015.
