Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares Currency Hedged MSCI EAFE ETF ( HEFA ), where 8,700,000 units were destroyed, or a 7.7% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of HEFA, in morning trading today iShares MSCI EAFE Index ( EFA ) is down about 1.3%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the iShares Currency Hedged MSCI Emerging Markets ETF ( HEEM ), which lost 2,700,000 of its units, representing a 26.7% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of HEEM, in morning trading today iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index ( EEM ) is off about 1.8%.
