Leading health care stocks were advancing pre-market Thursday.
Early movers include:
(+) Edesa Biotech (EDSA), which was surging more than 200% after saying the US Food and Drug Administration has allowed the company to move ahead with its phase 2b clinical trial of EB01, a sPLA2 inhibitor to treat chronic allergic contact dermatitis.
(+) Guardion Health Sciences (GHSI) was jumping by more than 34% as it received a patent from the European Union for its proprietary medical device, the MapcatSF.
(+) Interpace Diagnostics Group (IDXG) was up 19% after saying its ThyGeNEXT and ThyraMIR tests for thyroid cancer are now covered by Independence Blue Cross, providing plan benefits coverage for its members in Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania.
