Health care majors were mixed in Tuesday pre-market trading.
Early movers include:
(-) BioCryst Pharmaceuticals (BCRX), which was slumping by more than 48% even as data from its phase 3 APeX-2 trial of BCX7353 for the prevention of hereditary angioedema (HAE) showed the product candidate met its primary endpoint for both 110 mg and 150 mg dose levels.
(-) Mallinckrodt (MNK) was declining more than 32% after its Mallinckrodt ARD unit filed suit in federal district court against the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to reverse a decision resulting in lower Medicaid reimbursements for Acthar Gel.
(+) Biocept (BIOC) was more than 28% higher after the company launched its Target Selector NGS Lung Panel, a multi-gene liquid biopsy panel specifically developed for lung cancer.
