Health-care shares were generally mixed in pre-market trade Wednesday.
In health-care stocks news, Sanofi ( SNY ) contracted by 1.2% to $48.35 in recent pre-market trade even as its Genzyme unit said that magnetic resonance imaging demonstrate that its Aubagio drug slowed brain volume loss compared to placebo over two years in people with relapsing multiple sclerosis.
The company's 52 week trading range is between $43.57 and $54.98.
Adeptus Health ( ADPT ), a freestanding emergency room operator, said it has closed on $175 million of new senior secured credit facilities.
The new loans include a $50 million revolving facility and a $125 million term loan facility, each with a five-year term.
Shares in the company were unchanged at $83.15 pre-bell. The company has traded between $24.47 and $123.97 over the past 52 weeks.
And Genocea Biosciences ( GNCA ), a biopharmaceutical company, said interim analysis of Phase 2 data on its GEN-003 genital herpes vaccine demonstrated a statistically significant 58% reduction in the viral shedding rate, the primary endpoint of the study.
