Health-care shares were generally lower in pre-market trade Monday.

In health-care stocks news, Eli Lilly and Company ( LLY ) Monday reported that a phase II study its drug Cyramza (ramucirumab) in combination with docetaxel met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant increase in progression-free survival ( PFS ) for patients with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma who failed prior platinum-based therapy.

Shares in the company were unchanged at $85.35 pre-bell. Over the past 52 weeks, the company has traded between $60.58 and $92.85.

VBL Therapeutics ( VBLT ) said it presented positive Phase 2 data on VB-111 in combination with Bevacizumab in rGBM at a conference in Europe.

The data showed statistically significant overall survival benefit in patients treated with VB-111 continued with VB-111 in combination with Avastin upon disease progression, compared to patients treated with VB-111 followed by Avastin.

Shares in the company were, nevertheless, 3.8% lower at $9.48 pre-bell. Over the past 52 weeks, the company has traded between $3.09 and $17.02.

And NewLink Genetics ( NLNK ) reported promising early-stage clinical data on a Phase 1b study of indoximod in combination with ipilimumab for the treatment of patients with unselectable stage 3 or 4 melanoma.

Shares in the company were also unchanged at $52.37 pre-bell. Over the past 52 weeks, the company has traded between $17.32 and $58.73.
