Health-care shares were mixed in pre-market trade Wednesday.

In health-care stocks news, ARIAD Pharmaceuticals ( ARIA ), whose key product is a treatment for leukemia, posted weaker-than-expected Q2 results. The net loss widened to $63.2 million, or $0.33 per share, compared to a net loss of $56.9 million, or $0.30 per share, for the same period in 2014.

Shares in the company were unchanged at $8.09 during pre-market trading . Over the past 52 weeks, the company has traded between $4.90 and $9.89.

Meanwhile, Sucampo Pharmaceuticals ( SCMP ) rose in Wednesday's pre-market session after it reported better-than-expected financial results for Q2 and raised its earnings guidance for fiscal 2015 above Street forecasts.

Shares in the company were 12.4% higher at $24.25 pre-bell. Over the past 52 weeks, the company has traded between $5.98 and $25.

And biopharmaceutical company Incyte ( INCY ) saw its price target boosted to $119 from $107 by Brean Capital while the firm retained its buy rating on the stock.

Shares in the company were flat at $109.74 during pre-market trading. Over the past 52 weeks, the company has traded between $43.86 and $121.70.
