Health care shares were mostly quiet in pre-market trade Wednesday.
In health care stocks news, Aldeyra Therapeutics ( ALDX ) slumped 18.4% after the company said that its topical treatment for allergic eye conjunctivitis, ADX-102, did not meet a primary endpoint in a phase 2 trial, but that results were good enough to proceed to phase 3 trials. The company said that consistent statistically significant reductions in ocular itching scores during the late phase of ocular allergy observed in phase 2a and phase 2b clinical trials have confirmed the clinical activity of its lead aldehyde trap, ADX-102, and strengthened its confidence in continued clinical development.
