In health-care stocks news, GlaxoSmithKline ( GSK ) is among the companies fined by the UK's Competition & Markets Authority for anti-competitive conduct in relation to the supply of paroxetine, according to a release from the regulatory agency.

Shares in the company were 0.1% lower at $39.11 pre-bell. The company has traded between $37.24 and $49.08 over the past 52 weeks.

And Novartis AG ( NVS ), a developer, manufacturer and marketer of healthcare products led by pharmaceuticals, said Friday that its generic pharmaceuticals division, Sandoz, has acquired from Pfizer ( PFE ) the rights for the development and commercialization of PF-06438179 (biosimilar infliximab) in the 28 countries that form the European Economic Area.

Shares in the company were 0.4% higher at $72.46 pre-bell. The company has traded between $71.55 and $106.84 over the past 52 weeks.
