Guyana Goldfields Inc. (GUY.TO) turned higher again in recent minutes after the company reportedly said it has received expressions of interest from six other firms, signing confidentiality agreements as possible merger efforts pick up steam.

"We have been on the radar of many companies, I think, for quite a while," Guyana Chief Operating Officer Claude Lemasson said during an interview with Bloomberg News yesterday in Toronto. He did not identify any of the potential suitors and offer a timeline for when a deal could be completed.
