Gran Colombia Gold Shares Up 12%; No Fresh News Since Q3 Last Month

Gran Colombia Gold Corp (GCM-WT.TO) shares are up 12% at mid-day, with shares trading at 14 cents. This takes it further away from its year low of 10.5 cents, but still a long way from its year high of $1.10, which it hit on Dec 9, 2010. There is no apparent stock specific news around today.

Gran Colombia announced its third quarter results last month, where it reiterated that it was on track to produce 90,000 ounces of gold in 2011. Total gold production for the third quarter amounted to 21,990 ounces, bringing total gold production for the first nine months of 2011 to 62,785 ounces. A further 9,445 ounces of gold were produced in October.
