GLOBAL EQUITIES: Bank of Montreal on Overnight, Early Morning Stock Markets
Bank of Montreal (BMO.TO) in its morning note, noted Friday's stock rally has been extended, more or less, into Day 3. European bourses rose on Monday but were mixed this Tuesday morning as markets digest the onslaught of data releases - "also mixed but not terrible" - and news of a Saudi Arabia and Russia output freeze (WTI was up 0.7% to US$29.70, but off its initial-knee-jerk-reaction highs of $31.53). In Asia, BMO said "it was a sea of green, all the way through", over the past two days. Even the Nikkei, which was hit badly for the prior two weeks, surged 7.2% at the start of the week and added another 0.2% overnight.
