Friday's ETF with Unusual Volume: VNQI

The Vanguard Global ex-U.S. Real Estate ETF ( VNQI ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 2.4 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 559,000. Shares of VNQI were down about 0.1% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Golden Star Resources ( GSS ), trading off about 3.2% with over 1.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Lasalle Hotel Properties ( LHO ), down about 0.1% on volume of over 1.4 million shares. Ardelyx ( ARDX ) is the component faring the best Friday, up by about 6.2% on the day, while Phoenix New Media ( FENG ) is lagging other components of the Vanguard Global ex-U.S. Real Estate ETF, trading lower by about 5.7%.
