Friday's ETF with Unusual Volume: VIOO

The Vanguard S&P Small-Cap 600 ETF ( VIOO ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 227,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 41,000. Shares of VIOO were down about 0.1% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were AK Steel Holding ( AKS ), trading off about 0.9% with over 16.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and US Silica Holdings ( SLCA ), off about 5.1% on volume of over 4.9 million shares. Celadon Group ( CGI ) is the component faring the best Friday, up by about 9.9% on the day, while Clearwater Paper ( CLW ) is lagging other components of the Vanguard S&P Small-Cap 600 ETF, trading lower by about 14.2%.
