PARIS, Sept 8 (Reuters) - EDF EDF.PA said nuclear power generation at its French reactors rose 26.5% in August to 29 terawatt hours (TWh), compared with 22.9 TWh in the same month last year, reflecting the impact of the coronavirus crisis a year ago.

In a website update, EDF said total nuclear generation in France since the start of the year was 239.2 TWh, up 9% compared with 219.5 TWh for January-August 2020, due to improved availability of the nuclear fleet and fewer capacity adjustments amid high market prices.

That implied French July nuclear power generation of 28.5 TWh. EDF does not publish separate July data.

EDF said its cumulative nuclear generation output in Britain since the start of the year was 27.1 TWh, down 7.8% compared with the same period in 2020.
