Fortuna Silver Shares Jump 5% As Silver And Gold Reserves Rise

Fortuna Silver Mines ( FSM ) shares have jumped 5.2% to $4.02 after the company announced that combined inferred resources for its Caylloma mine in Peru and its San Jose mine in Mexico rose at end-December, with contained silver ounces up 38.5% and gold up 26.6%.

The company said exploration had been successful in identifying the new reserves and that the additional resources would replace those that were depleted through mining during the year.

Shares of FSM trade within a 52-week range of $3.10 to $6.78.
