First Lithium Resources Up, Heavily Traded on gold deal

First Lithium Resources Inc (MCI.V) has jumped close to 25% today on big volumes after announcing that it has entered into an option agreement with Newcastle Minerals Ltd. (NCM.V) to acquire up to a 75% interest in their Mollie River claims, approximately 4 km from the western edge of Trelawney Mining and Exploration Inc.'s (TRR.V) Chester Gold Complex. First Lithium said Trelawney's drill programs have consistently intersected long intervals of gold mineralization.

More than 3.5 million First Lithium shares have changed hands, making it one of the most actively traded on the TSXV. NCM.V is unchanged at 10 cents while TRR.V is 4 cents lower at $2.60.
