Early movers include:

(-) Evercore Partners (EVR), which was more than 4% lower as it booked Q3 diluted earnings of $1.26 per share, which is up from $1.23 per share in the prior-year period but missed consensus of $1.63 from analysts polled by Capital IQ.

In other sector news:

(+) Nasdaq (NDAQ) was up 1.6% after it posted a Q3 adjusted net income of $1.27 per share compared with $1.13 per share in the same quarter of 2018. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ were anticipating adjusted EPS of $1.21.

(=) Bank of NT Butterfield & Son (NTB) was unchanged after it booked Q3 core earnings of $0.91 per share, up from $0.88 a year ago but lower than the consensus estimate $0.92 compiled by Capital IQ.
