Among financial stocks moving on news:

(+) Banco Bilbao Viscaya Argentaria SA ( BBVA ) was maintaining a slim gain late in Thursday trading, rising less than 1%, after the Argentine bank company said it has launched a strategic review of its "highly attractive" automobile financing business in Chile, later adding the ongoing review does not necessarily imply it plans to sell Forum Servicios Financieros.

(-) AGNC Investment ( AGNC ) slipped over 1% this afternoon, with shares of the real estate investment trust receiving little apparent help from an upgrade Thursday to overweight From neutral by analysts at JPMorgan, who also nudged their price target for the company's stock by 50 cents to $18 a share.

(-) Investar Holding ( ISTR ) tumbled 7% to $22 on Thursday. The bank holding company declared an 11% increase in its quarterly dividend to $0.05 per share compared with its $0.045 per share payout during the previous quarter.
