Top Financial Stocks
Financial stocks were mostly higher today, with the NYSE Financial Sector Index rising about 0.2% and the S&P Financial 100 Index climbing about 0.5%.
In company news, Enova International ( ENVA ) declined Thursday, with shares of the specialty lender dropping to an all-time low after reporting Q3 net income that missed analyst expectations as revenue fell compared to year-ago levels.
The company earned $0.19 per share during the three months ended Sept. 30, trailing the Capital IQ consensus by $0.17 per share. Revenues fell 19.5% from the same quarter last year to $165.2 million, roughly in-line with the $165.85 million consensus.
For the current quarter, Enova is projecting revenue of between $160 million to $180 million, spanning the Street view looking for $177.30 million in Q4 revenue.
ENVA shares were down almost 30% just before the closing bell at $8.96 each, earlier falling to a record low of $8.73 a share.
