Financial shares were mainly unchanged in pre-market trade on Thursday after Automatic Data Processing's ( ADP ) monthly national employment report, which is produced in collaboration with Moody's Analytics, showed on Wednesday that private sector employment in the US rose by 200,000 in the month of March. This surpassed Action Economics' expectation for 180,000 new jobs and economists polled by Reuters news agency's estimate for a gain of 194,000 jobs.
In financial stocks news, FelCor Lodging Trust ( FCH ) said Thursday that it will pay an unchanged quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of $0.06 per share on April 29 to shareholders of record on April 15.
Shares in the company were unchanged at $8 pre-bell. The stock has traded between $5.47 and $12.29 over the past 52 weeks.
And Hingham Institution for Savings ( HIFS ), a full-service community bank, has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.30 per share. The dividend will be paid on Apr. 20 to stockholders of record as of Apr. 11.
Shares in the company were unchanged at $119.65 pre-bell. The stock has traded between $98.20 and $135.03 over the past 52 weeks.
