Financial And Industrial Sectors Lead Stock ETFs Higher

Stock market index ETFs continued higher Wednesday, led by small-cap stocks and industrial and financial sectors.

SPDR S&P 500 ( SPY ) was up 0.7% in late morning trading, trailing small-cap iShares Russell 2000's ( IWM ) 1.1% and iShares Core Midcap's ( IJH ) 0.8%. Year to date, IWM is up 1.8%, IJH is up 3% and SPY is up 2.5%.

Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ( VWO ) was up 0.6%, putting its year-to-date gain at 6.2%.

Industrial Select Sector SPDR was up 0.8% and Financial Select Sector SPDR was up 1.2%.

Real estate was the lone S&P 500 sector showing a loss. Select Sector Real Estate ( XLRE ) was off 0.2%.

PowerShares Gold SharesGLD was off 1.1%.
