European ADRs Move Lower in Wednesday Trading

American Depositary Receipts of European stocks were trading 0.17% lower at 138.57 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Wednesday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by 3D prnter maker voxeljet ( VJET ), and pharmaceutical firm Oasmia Pharmaceutical ( OASM ), which climbed 7.2% and 5.5% respectively. They were followed by marketing company Criteo ( CRTO ), and 3D printer manufacturer Materialise ( MTLS ), which rose 5% and 3.9% respectively.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical firm Forward Pharma ( FWP ), and health care company Novo Nordisk (NVO), which were off 7.5% and 5.6% respectively. They were followed by communications services provider VEON (VEON), and telecommunications operator Orange (ORAN), which fell 3% and 1.6%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company GW Pharmaceuticals (GWPH), and gene therapy company Nightstar (NITE), which rose 5% and 4.2% respectively. They were followed by Midatech Pharma (MTP), and insurance firm Prudential (PUK), which rose 3.8% and 2.7% respectively.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies Amarin (AMRN), and Akari Therapeutics (AKTX), which fell 3.2% and 2.1% respectively. They were followed by airplane lessor Fly Leasing (FLY), and biopharmaceutical firm Verona Pharma (VRNA), which were down 1.2% and 0.8%.
