European ADRs Move Lower in Tuesday Trading

American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 1.00% lower at 133.02 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Tuesday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical firm Oasmia Pharmaceutical ( OASM ), which surged 13.5%, followed by biotech company Forward Pharma ( FWP ) 6.1%. Internet browser company Opera ( OPRA ), and biotech firm argenx ( ARGX ) were up 2.4% and 0.9% respectively.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by telecommunications provider Telecom Italia ( TI ), and 3D printer maker voxeljet (VJET), which fell 5.6% and 5.1% respectively. They were followed by online dating site operator Spark Networks (LOV), and biopharmaceutical firm MorphoSys (MOR), which dropped 3.2% and 2.9%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by gene therapy company Nightstar (NITE), and biopharmaceutical company Amarin (AMRN), which rose 3.5% and 0.9% respectively. They were followed by Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), andTrinity Biotech (TRIB), which were up 0.5% and 0.4%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by communications group WPP (WPP), which dropped 7.1%, followed by biopharmaceutical companies Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP), and Midatech Pharma (MTP), which were off 6.1% and 5.5% respectively. Airline operator Ryanair (RYAAY) lost 3.6%.
