European ADRs Move Lower in Monday Trading

American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.85% higher at 138.12 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Monday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by geophysical equipment company CGG ( CGG ), which soared 33.3%, followed 3d printer maker Materialise ( MTLS ), which rose 5%. Oasmia Pharmaceutical ( OASM ), and 3D printer company voxeljet ( VJET ) were up 3.3% and 1.2% respectively.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by semiconductor company Sequans Communications ( SQNS ), which fell 1%, followed by biotech company Zealand Pharma (ZEAL), and telecommunications provider Telecom Italia (TI), which each lost 0.5%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech company Shire (SHPG), and biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics (AKTX), which climbed 3.8% and 5.1% respectively. Mining company Randgold Resources (GOLD), and Trinity Biotech (TRIB), which were up 2.4% and 2.2%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Midatech Pharma (MTP), and aircraft leasing company Fly Leasing (FLY), which lost 2.5% and 2% respectively. They were followed by Lloyds Banking Group (LYG), and biopharmaceutical firm GW Pharmaceuticals (GWPH), which declined 1.3% and 0.7%.
