European ADRs Move Higher in Wednesday Trading

American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.24% higher at 115.03 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Wednesday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by biotech company Forward Pharma ( FWP ) and software firm Talend ( TLND ), which rose 9.3% and 6% respectively. They were followed by hotel booking website Trivago ( TRVG ) and biotech company Ascendis Pharma ( ASND ), which were up 3.5% and 2.8%.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company ERYTECH Pharma ( ERYP ) and 3D printer company voxeljet (VJET), which fell 7.5% and 4.8% respectively. They were followed by dating app operator Spark Networks (LOV) and biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies (DBVT), which lost 3.5% and 3.1%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company NuCana (NCNA) and Trinity Biotech (TRIB), which climbed 5.9% and 3.5% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Amarin (AMRN) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which rose 3.3% and 2.4%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP) and GW Pharmaceuticals (GWPH), which lost 5.4% and 4.6% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Avadel (AVDL) and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), which were off 3.9% and 2.1%.
